Hey there, all of you “Die Hard Curve 8330 Owners”! I received an email, about an hour ago informing me of the New OS Update for the BlackBerry Curve 8300 series. The update will give you the 4.5.0.186 version. If you want the update for your device, simply go to the “Tools Menu”, click Advanced Options, then scroll down to “Wireless Updates”, then follow the prompts.
I’m in the process of updating my 8330 now, so I’ll let you know what we will wind up with.

Ok, Kids! We have been waiting somewhat patiently for our 8330 – 5.0 Love, with little results. Sure, there is a leaked os, but I’m not to crazy about running leaks on my devices.
In an article from Crackberry.com, (which you can take a look at here), It states that RIM has made the 5.0 software available to its carrier partners. So we are pretty much just playing the waiting game with our perspective carriers, to make the software available for our devices.
Now, in the carriers defence, I have seen that some carriers have rolled out the 5.0 OS update to some of their devices, but all of us 8330 users, just haven’t seen the love yet.
Even with the leaked 5.0 update, it was only for the 8330, CDMA versions. If you are with Sprint, there is a very good chance that you could be sporting the 8330m, which in my findings, the leaked os was only compatible in a small number of cases. That’s one of the issues with a leaked OS, you can never be 100% sure, and when it comes to my BlackBerry devices, I like to be sure!
So, the “million dollar question” remains! When will we see the BlackBerry 5.0 OS Love? There’s no way to be sure…. I wish that I could give you a better answer, but it’s all we have. As soon as we catch wind of a release from a carrier, we’ll post it here & over at BlackBerryStuff.invioe.com.

Ok, Kids! This is one app that I use on my Curve 8330 that you really can’t afford to do without. It really helps with the memory on your BlackBerry & I use it on a daily basis. QuickPull Free, by: Steelhorne Software, is an application that simulates a battery pull on your device. Unlike the red power button on your phone which merely reloads your device, QuickPull will actually refresh the device, freeing up memory and increasing performance… which is what we all want..right?!!!
